Classes with Sharon and David

I have heard from everyone that Sharonji and Davidji's classes were very good. Can anybody share some good bits their class for teaching the focus of the month from them? Any of your own ideas would be great as well. I have been focusing on the importance of secrecy with some of your desires and prayers. And by not talking about it with many people you maintain in some instances a heightened special connection with and a stronger momentum to the realization of the prayer...

Yes... Secrecy in prayer and also actions that we are planning to do. As I have noticed of myself, I am more productive towards the goal while not talking about them.

david talked alot about secret prayers especially ones that are kind of politically incorrect. he said his outloud which really got us all thinking and talking about some of the issues. the other thing he did which i loved is that he had us make a secret prayer and then raise our hands in prayer to our mouths and blow the secret prayer into our hands. and then every so often when we had our hands in prayer he would remind us to think about our prayer. it was sweet.

Thats really cool. I think I might use that. So he just had you think of the prayer and imagine it going into your hand as you blew. What was his prayer that he said out loud? Wrong secret prayer is a good idea I have been having those a little bit lately.

i just taught a class and one of the students was at jiva in london and took your class - she loved it. ok, so yes, david had us think of our own prayer and then actually he said to fill up our mouths with breath and puff up our cheeks and then raise the prayer and blow it into the mudra. as for his not pc prayes he said a few things. i remember these: he wishes that people would only have 1 kid if they are going to have kids because there are too many people on the earth right now and if we all did that then we could right the population. he also said he hopes no one wins the election! i can't remember what else right now. i will think about it. he also did another cool thing. we did a vinyasa of 4 different prayer styles: full prostate on the floor, childs pose, on our knees, and then standing up with our arms outstretched representing the way different faiths pray. then we picked on and meditated in that pose for a few minutes.

secrecy involves "private, introverted, inward, quiet, etc."; warrior involves going outward, action, confidence, and committment. The 'prayer' is sandwiched in the middle, between the secret and the warrior, you find the prayer that feeds and nourishes both aspects... its the coming together of opposites... you have to go "inward" (secret) to reach "outward" (warrior.) And the prayer is the devotion and spiritual nature we bring to ALL of our actions.
Sharon brought up a lot about going inward, to gather energy to move outward; getting down to get up, etc. David talked about outward, how the space between us and "others" is not empty space, but is full of stuff and can we feel that full space between "us" and "others."

nice...its interesting how much the focus can change throughout the month and how one day we may feel we have nothing to talk about and others sooooo much. I like the imagery of the inward and outward prayer sandwich.

Secrecy is useful up to a point. Say you have a seed planted in the earth. If you keep digging it up to see what's happening, well, nothing will. If it sprouts, it needs sunlight and air. Hidden and in the light, both have their times and purposes.
